Classes are
available on a drop in basis. Each session is taught in a friendly,
relaxed style by Adam, a fully qualified Yogi Siromani and graduate
from the Sivananda Teacher Training course.
The classes are inspired by the teachings of Swami
Sivananda and BKS Iyengar and informed by the ancient scriptures of the
Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
Sessions tend to include an initial relaxation, a warm
up in the form of surya namaskar (sun salutation) standing asanas,
inversions, floor asanas and a full final relaxation. After just a few
sessions you will become familiar with the core asanas we practice. No
two classes are the same, this allows different aspects of yoga to be
brought into the teaching for example breath work, philosophy,
meditation techniques etc.
The intention is to ignite your passion for practice and
to encourage you to delve deeper into the ocean of yoga resources
available.
From September 2009 there are two class opportunites
available per week. These are open to all levels of student but each
class has a slightly different emphasis.
Tuesdays 18:30 - 19:30 A fairly gentle class especially suitable for
complete beginners or those needing to be kind to themselves that day
:-)

relaxation.
Tuesdays 19:30 - 21:00 The content of this class is
oriented towards improvers and intermediate students. Sun salutations,
standing postures, inversions, floor postures and a final
relaxation. Also Yoga vedanta philosophy and more.
